Subject: Combining Google Application to improve Technology Integration
Prerequisite Knowledge: Material covered in days 1 - 4
Content:
Day 5's workshop will focus on combining all the skills learned throughout the other days of the workshop. Continuing from day 4, teachers will continue developing a collaborative lesson utilizing Google applications.
Objectives:
By the end of the day, teachers will
1. Complete a collaborative lesson using Google applications. 2. Share and critique each other's lessons. 3. Participate in a final discussion on technology integration. 4. Complete a post-assessment to determine what was learned throughout the workshop.
Teaching the Lesson:
1. The session will begin with teachers spending time completing their lessons that they began at the end of session 4. 2. Teachers will then post links to their lesson to the workshop wiki. 3. In content area groups, teachers will review each other's lesson, offering comments and critiques for improvement. 4. In closing, teachers will participate in a discussion on technology integration and Google's place in improving technology use in the classroom. 5. Teachers will then take a post-assessment using a form created in Google docs. 6. Session will end with teachers participating in a daily and full workshop evaluation form.
Additional Materials:
Prepared Materials for the day include 1. Introduction and Google Collaboration presentations to be used to teach content. 2. A Google form developed as a post-assessment for the workshop. 3. Pre-made google documents used to explain processes and final thoughts on technology integration.
Evaluation Strategies:
Teachers will post their finished final project lessons to the workshop wiki. There will also be informal assessments throughout as teachers work through the material. Teaches will also fill out a post-assessment of what was learned.
